Rose hip Extract (20%): Rose hip extracts have traditionally been used for the prevention and management of various bone and joint related issues. The beneficial effect is due to its high content in anti-inflammatory molecules, such as the galactolipid GOPO which can reduce the inflammatory response. Moreover, rose hips have been shown to reduce the production of several key pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, (IFN)-γ, IL-12) and chemokines CCL5 (RANTES), IP-10 (CXCL10). Rosehip extract is also known to inhibit cyclooxygenase (COX) 1 and 2 activity. The inhibition of COX contributes towards reducing inflammation in patients .
Curcumin extract : Curcumin fraction of Curcuma longa is found to be helpful in dealing with conditions associated with pain and inflammation because of its inhibitory activity on inflammatory mediators.
Mucopolysaccharides [as Chondroitin Sulphate]: Chondroitin Sulphate increases the hyaluronan production by human synovial cells, which has a beneficial effect on maintaining viscosity in the synovial fluid. It has been shown that Chondroitin Sulphate stimulates the chondrocyte metabolism, leading to the synthesis ofcollagen and proteoglycan, the basic components ofnew cartilage.
Hyaluronic acid (Sodium Hyaluronate 25mg)]: It has a positive effect on tendonitis. The positive effect of hyaluronic acid can be attributed to the anti- *(4). inflammatory activity, enhanced cell proliferation, and collagen deposition, besides the lubricating action on the sliding surface of the tendon It also permits tendon gliding, reduces adhesions, creates better tendon architectural organization and limits inflammation.
Vitamin C: The inflammatory process triggering has been also associated with an increased generation of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (ROS/RNS) which is also known as free radicals, which contribute to tissue damage. Antioxidant nutrients such as vitamin C, could play a significant role in the protection against the damaging effects ofROS/RNS.
Vitamin D3: Cholecalciferol also known as Vitamin D3 plays an important role in regulation of calcium and maintenance of phosphorus levels in the blood, (6)* which is required to maintain a healthy bones . Deficiency of Cholecalciferol can cause bone loss that leads to osteoporosis and fractures, demineralisation which eventually leads to osteomalacia and muscle weakness causing fractures.
